“Goat Cheese Night” at the Evening Farmers Market Statesville’s Evening Farmers Market will feature Goat Cheese May 8, 2008 starting at 4:00 p.m.–‘till. You don’t have to travel to France to purchase and enjoy great goat cheese. Come and meet Anne Cain owner of Daddy’s Girl Dairy, Hamptonville, NC. Nothing tastes better than goat cheese made from goats that are bred and reared locally.

Implementing Downtown Redevelopment Presentation Set for May 8 - Public is Welcome DSDC and the Downtown Master Plan Committee are offering a special presentation titled Implementing Downtown Redevelopment on Thursday, May 8 from 6 - 8 pm at the Statesville Civic Center. Attendance is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

May 9 Friday After Five concert Moved to Cooper Street The May 9 Piedmont HealthCare Friday After Five Summer Concert Series is moving to Cooper Street this Friday to accomodate the Mitchell Community College Graduation that will take place in the Circle at 7 pm that evening. “Tin Can Alley” will bring their rhythm and blues to the stage during the first concert set for May 9 from 5 - 8 pm. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the concerts. There is no cost to attend and the public is welcome.
