July 17 Evening Farmers Market to feature Tomatoes
Summer is heat, humidity and juicy locally grown tomatoes. July 17 from 4:00 – ‘till, the Evening Farmers Market at Pecan Park in historic downtown Statesville will feature tomatoes. Taste delicious samples of a variety of tomatoes available at the market and recipes using local tomatoes.

Song Writer's Night at La Dolce Vita Cafe
The Song Writter Sessions will be held the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7 to 9 pm at La Dolce Vita Cafe beginnning June 19. These events will feature great original music from area song writers. Each session will feature three writers in a rotation set, each doing several songs, with one writer beign featured in the second set. Iredell Museums Presents Works Created From The Environment
As part of its mission to preserve, promote and provide learning experiences in culture, heritage, and the arts, Iredell Museums will present the work of David Hicks of Union Grove, NC. The exhibit will be held at the Court Street Gallery, 134 Court Street, in downtown Statesville from July 18 through August 22, 2008. The opening reception for the artist will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The reception is open to the public, free of charge. The Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is free of charge.
