DSDC works to create a well-balanced program for the economic development of our downtown district by focusing on 4 areas: Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring and Organization.
Promotion:
Goal: Make Downtown Statesville first in people’s minds as a preferred destination.
Objective: To increase business activity in Downtown Statesville.
Design:
Goal: Enhance the physical appearance of downtown Statesville while preserving the local heritage.
Objective: To make downtown a place where people want to live, work and play.
Economic Restructuring:
Goal: Make downtown an attractive investment opportunity.
Objective: To attract, retain and grow investment in Downtown Statesville.
Organization:
Goal: Expand the base of public/private revenue sources and volunteers for downtown.
Objective: To increase sustainable activity, involvement and investment in downtown and DSDC.
