Squash & Cucumber Night at Thursday Evening Farmers Market - 6/24/2010
Squash & Cucumber Night will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. - ‘till at the Evening Farmers Market, held in Pecan Park in historic Downtown Statesville. Summer is here and locally grown vegetables are abundant at last. Come sample recipes using cucumbers and summer squash. Be prepared for delicious surprises. Don’t forget cucumbers make a cooling facial and eye soother as well as a delicious meal addition!
Nothing tastes better than locally grown fruits and vegetables. In-season produce now available at the market are cucumbers, squash, eggplant, tomatoes, corn, potatoes, peaches, apples, plums, herb plants and fresh cut herbs, perennial plants, flowers, homemade baked goods, goat cheese, eggs, handmade soaps and lotions and more. Rain or shine shop outdoors meet a friend, talk to your grower and enjoy the entertainment!
