Board of Directors/Committees
The DSDC Board of Directors is comprised of 18 volunteers that share a common vision for Downtown Statesville and direct and administer activities implemented by a full-time staff. Board members serve voluntary three-year terms and represent a diverse population of interests, including downtown merchants, property owners, businesses, educational institutions and other community organizations. The Board meets once a month, on the 3rd Wednesday at noon.

DESIGN COMMITTEE
The Design Committee strives to enhance the appearance of Downtown Statesville. This Committee reviews and recommends designs, placement, materials and other decisions related to aesthetics for streetscape improvements. This Committee is continually creating new projects to improve the visual appearance and well-being of downtown.

PROMOTIONS COMMITTEE
Plans special events, activities and festivals for Downtown such as Downtown Art Crawls,
Downtown Holiday Open House, Crossroads Pumpkin Fest, Downtown Trick or Treating. These
events, as well as many others are available to the public due to the efforts of this
Committee. This Committee also aids the staff in efforts to publicize activities and
events, volunteers man hours and creates new ideas to make downtown interesting and fun.
