A newly organized non-profit organization, YIPE in Iredell County, Inc. has chosen to make their headquarters right here in Downtown Statesville at 104 S. Center Street. The mission of YIPE is “to transform the way youth engage in the community by instilling strong work ethics.” The youth involved with YIPE (Young Individuals Pursuing Employment) have jumped headfirst into the downtown community, getting involved and volunteering when possible. Endeavors Pediatric Therapy recently opened in the newly renovated Henderson Furniture building, 125 West Broad Street. Formerly located on Brookdale Drive, Endeavors offers Pediatric Therapy Services for children age 0 - 21. They provide in-home services, daycare services, and clinic based services across three counties. Carolina Speech & Occupational Therapy opened a new Statesville office at 129 N. Tradd Street, after a beautiful renovation of the 1929 building. Carolina Speech & Occupational Therapy specializes in providing speech and language, feeding and swallowing therapy, along with occupational therapy to children ages birth to three, preschool age, and school age. GG’s Art Frames Gifts has finally made the long-awaited move to their great new space right on the square in Downtown Statesville, 101 West Broad Street. La Fresca Foods, Inc. continues to grow and expand their selections, which means needing to move to a bigger space. Thankfully, they will still be part of Downtown, just around the corner at 209 West Front Street. Their customers are anxiously waiting for them to reopen in the new shop, which is scheduled to happen before the end of May.
