48 Hour Film Project – FREE Screening

Have you heard of the 48 Hour Film Project? The 48 Hour Film Project is a contest in which teams of filmmakers are assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, and have 48 hours to create a short film containing those elements. Shortly after the 48 hours of filmmaking, the films from each city are then screened in that city.

Join us on July 20, 2017 as we showecase selected films from the 2015Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project. Showing will be at Twisted Oak American Bar & Grill.

Doors open for seating at 6pm to allow you time for a pre screening meal or drinks (available for purchase). Viewing starts at 7pm.

Living History Day @ Gregory Creek Homestead

Join us at Gregory Creek Homestead to experience NC Backcountry life for yourself! This living history event will feature live educational interpretations of what life for the early settlers of the Carolinas may have been like. Experience kitchen life, participate in common children’s activities of the mid-18th Century, and peek inside historic cabins from Iredell and Alexander Counties. This event will feature musicians playing historic music, woodworkers, and more!

The Tom Dooley Project CD Release Party @ Sky Mountain Coffee

The Tom Dooley Project includes live bluegrass, murder ballads and Piedmont Blues performed by Wicker & Jones with 3rd Creek Bluegrass. By popular demand, WAME has produced a CD that includes all the music from the project for $15 each. Join the cast of the The Tom Dooley Project, Wicker and Jones, and 3rd Creek Bluegrass for a CD Release party at Sky Mountain Coffee! The band will be performing all the music from the show, and we will be selling the CD as well as tickets to the show. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a copy of the CD and meet the band and cast!
