On Friday, December 1, bring the whole family downtown for the Holiday Shop & Stroll Spectacular!
Why is it “SPECTACULAR,” you ask? Because we are bringing the feeling of an old-fashioned, small town Christmas season to the streets of Downtown, but adding a dash of excitement and a spinkle of magic!
- Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
- Santa Central at City Hall
- Live Nativity at First ARP Church
- Train Rides
- Victorian Carolers
- S’mores Station & Much More!
Santa and his elves will arrive in grand fashion at 6:15pm and will visit with children at “Santa Central” located at City Hall. While there, children can make holiday crafts, drink warm cocoa, and have a popcorn snack. And don’t miss the “magic” mailbox, where letters are magically transported straight to Santa! NEW this year, miniature train rides are available across the street at the Statesville Civic Center for all ages!
Make memories with your loved ones on a horse-drawn carriage ride. Snuggle close to family and friends as you take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season, and soak up the magic of downtown during Holiday Shop & Stroll in Statesville!
At 6pm and 7pm, stroll on down to First ARP Church and enjoy a Live Nativity and music. What a great way to remember the reason for the season!
Downtown retailers are putting on their best and opening their doors to holiday shoppers. Stores will be decked out and stocked with this season’s best gifts for everyone on your list. Many of the shops will provide great deals and special in-store events. To go with the holiday shopping season, downtown restaurants are ready to treat you to the holiday feasting season. The menu choices are as delightful and enjoyable as the chefs who prepare them!
