Songwriting 101 – by Dennis Brinson @ Red Buffalo Brewing Co.
Mar 20 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Songwriting 101 is an open group hosted by local Singer/Songwriter Dennis Brinson. Since there is no right or wrong way to write a song, it’s purpose is to share songwriting tools and ideas in an open forum setting amongst a peer group. Dennis has been writing in various forms from an early age having a published poem at age 12 and a student of short stories, poetry, literature, literary devices and songwriting for over 30 years.

The open group, with open being stressed, will meet every other Wed at 6:30pm in downtown Statesville, NC at Red Buffalo Brewing Co beginning Feb 6th. Below is a rough outline:

6:30pm – Meet and Greet
6:45pm – Present the Topic, White Board Discussion
7:15pm – Pick next meeting topic, homework, share a song
7:30pm – Conclude

Afterwards I would encourage you to listen in to the Little Toe and Frankie Show on 92.9FM WAME across the street. LT&F host live regional acts in the studio across the street on a regular basis and feature a variety of well-written music.

So bring a pen and paper, your creative and critical minds, and a smile…lets work on our craft together and have some fun in the process.
