You’ve seen the signs. You’ve tasted the samples at Hops & Harmony Brew Fest. You’ve read the newspaper article and Facebook posts. So, what is the latest news on Downtown’s up and coming brewery, Fourth Creek Brewing Co.?
We reached out to the owner, Jonathan Nobinger to get an update and to find out what is going on, what to expect, and how long until we can enjoy some local craft brews. Jonathan is finalizing his permits and finishing the construction on the space at 226 West Broad St. with hopes to begin moving in brewing equipment in the next few weeks. The goal is to have Fourth Creek Brewing open by the third week of June, with six taps in the tasting room, adding more taps shortly after opening. Jonathan plans to offer live music regularly, and patrons are encouraged to bring in outside food, although some snacks will be available for purchase.
No one is more excited to finally open the doors on Fourth Creek Brewing than Jonathan. “We can’t wait to get open and be a part of our community. This brewery is all about the people; beer is just the mechanism. We want to bring people closer together, get involved in events together, support our local community and businesses, and teach people what it means to ‘drink upstream!’”
