Bring your friends and family to Downtown Statesville Friday, May 24 as crowd favorite Beach Music Band, The Catalinas, perform at the Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series.

The Catalinas began in 1957 and celebrated their 60th Anniversary in 2017!  The bands popularity is based primarily in southeastern US, however, The Catalinas music is played on radio stations in the UK, Greece and Australia to name a few. Known for their quality, tight sound and energy onstage, they are one of the "in demand" groups for city festivals and private parties, always playing a variety of music that suits all ages.  Though known for Beach Music, regionally and nationally for the mega hit "Summertime's Callin' Me", they play all styles to a high standard of excellence. "Summertime's Callin' Me" has become the anthem of North and South Carolina beach goers as they struggle through the winter waiting for summer to arrive.

The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series offers FREE entertainment to Statesville’s residents, neighbors and visitors in Downtown Statesville from May through September and features music of all styles. Whether you like Beach Music and Country or Blues and Rock and Roll, you’ll hear something you like.

The concerts are held in Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College from 5:30–8:30 pm. Beer, wine, soft drinks, sweets from Andrea’s Ice Cream & Sweet Shop and food from Bakin’ Bacon food truck will be available for purchase. Bring your chairs and enjoy a night of music, but no pets, outside beverages, or coolers are allowed.

Concert goers who missed out on our NEW addition of featured craft beers from our local breweries at the last event are in luck.  The sold out offerings from Fourth Creek Brewing Co. and Red Buffalo Brewing Co. will be back for a second appearance.

With notes of coriander and citrus, you won’t want to miss Fourth Creek’s Belgian wheat ale, “You Witte Me?”.  Using locally grown pilsner and wheat malts, it’s refreshingly crisp and repeatable at 4.6% ABV.

At 5.2% ABV, Red Buffalo’s “Blueberry Ale” is crisp and full of flavor for warm Summer days and cookouts!  Perfect choice to pair with this events Food Truck vendor, Bakin’ Bacon!
