Four generations of the McLelland family have been putting shoes on the feet of the Statesville community for over 90 years. McLelland Family Shoes still prides itself on expert customer service and quality. When Lib McLelland began selling shoes in the 1920's, she had no idea she was setting the course for her family’s success. Her son, Jim, worked in the footwear and sock industry, and eventually bought Long’s Family Shoe Store with his son, Rusty on August 15, 1983. Jim’s other son, Scott, and daughter, Leslie Nantz, all work in the family business, now named McLelland Family Shoes.

Recently, Leslie’s son, Zac joined the staff full time, making four generations. The family prides themselves on the quality of their products, professional shoe fittings for the whole family, and expert customer service (which comes at no extra cost). A neighboring business owner witnessed a great example of this customer service. She watched as an elderly lady was fitted from her car parked outside the shoe store, with the employee making many trips back and forth with different shoes until he found the perfect fit for his customer. That type of customer service has made McLelland Family Shoes successful for 34 years in Downtown Statesville.

Through all the growth and changes, Rusty said, “The beauty of Downtown continues to draw new customers.” Consider highlighting products or services, sales or promotions, personal bios, and more. Use images that complement your message, and link your images to supporting resources.
